What is Oldham Beckley?
OLDHAM BECKLEY is a unique group of people who spent their college summers selling books thousands of miles from home. For over 100 years, each and every summer, thousands of college students run their own businesses, selling books to families throughout the USA and in Canada . Ranging in age from 17-23, these spirited entrepreneurs knock 80-plus hours a week on straight commission, hearing “no-thank-you” an average of 27 times per day. It is The School of Hard Knocks for these young bookpeople, so to speak. We are alumni of that school.

As these young talents become seasoned leaders and enter the working world, many of them start businesses of their own. Others become successful in existing companies and wish to invest their earnings in those businesses founded by bookpeople alumni.

Enter OLDHAM BECKLEY INVESTMENT GROUP (OBIG). OLDHAM BECKLEY is where bookpeople can invest in other bookpeople. Investing goes far beyond dollars, as OBIG members leverage their skills by investing their time and talents as well.
